Robert (Bob) Vignola DON’T STOP SPEAKING God’s Word Dear Lover of God and His people, Philippians 2:2-4 Amplified Bible 2 Fill up and complete my joy by living in harmony and being of the same mind and one in purpose, having the same love, being in full accord and of one harmonious mind and intention. 3 Do nothing from factional motives [through contentiousness, strife, selfishness or for unworthy ends] or prompted by conceit and empty arrogance. Instead in the true spirit of humility [lowliness of mind] let each regard the others as better then and superior to himself [thinking more highly of one another than you do of yourselves] 4 Let each esteem and look upon and be concerned for not [merely] his own interests, but also each for the interests of others. What a gorgeous section of God’s Word! We encourage each other, even when it’s doesn’t concern our interests, but the interest of others. God doesn’t give up on us and so we don’t give up on each other. No matter how long it takes, not just a moment, or a day, or a year, or a life time. Agape doesn’t QUIT! We all need encouragement, not only from Our Heavenly Father but from each other. It’s easy to love and encourage when things are going smoothly but when the road gets rough that’s when the encouragement we give really helps and makes an impact. Reminds me of a great song written years ago by a wonderful believer by the name of Skip Mesquite. At the end of the song Skip repeatedly sings DON’T STOP SPEAKING GOD’S WORD. Skip fell asleep a few years ago and now awaits the Return, but knowing him I know he also meant DON’T STOP DOING THE WORD.
