It was a great day in my life, when many years ago, I learned from God’s Word that the true God never possesses. I have what’s moving into avenues and channels of learning among men and women where I was being taught that you just give yourself over to God, and that God will possess you. He will control you. He will make you speak in tongues when it’s right on, and when it isn’t you don't speak in tongues. And I was beginning to evaluate that. People were saying, well, you just let God take control of you, let Him speak through you. And I was singing songs like “Channels Only”. Have you ever heard that chorus? How many of you have heard “Channels Only”? Well, there are a few of them that have been through the channels. So, it's an old, old favorite gospel chorus, “Channels Only”. But one day, of course, working God’s Word and seeing men's experiences, the experiences did not line up with the Word. And it was a great day in my life when I learned that the true God never possesses. The adversary, the devil, always possesses. And what a day. That the true God simply makes it available, and man, by the freedom of his will, decides whether he wants what God, the true God, has or doesn't. It is like setting out a beautiful dinner and people having the freedom to come and eat it. It was also a great day in my life when I learned from God’s Word that we are what we are because of our believing, and that no person ever rises beyond what he believes.
