2 Peter 1:3-43 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto lifeand [what?] {godliness}, through the knowledge of him that hath called us toglory and virtue [is “power”]:[By His own] Whereby [by his own, which] are given unto us exceeding greatand precious [what?] promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divinenature, having escaped the corruption [that’s] in the world through lust. Partakers of what? Divine nature. Partakers of divine nature. Why? Because God so lovedthat He gave. You confessed with your mouth the Lord Jesus, believed God raised himfrom the dead, at that moment it is God in Christ in you, the hope of glory. The fullnessof God, a divine nature, a new nature within you, a spiritual man. Tremendous power in it. That’s how we got justification instead of separation;Redemption instead of Old Testament atonement;Remission of sins instead of a scapegoat;The new birth instead of circumcision;Sons instead of servants;Righteousness instead of condemnation;Life, my people, instead of death. At Pentecost God started getting a household by birth instead of an individual or insteadof a nation. And you and I are like little fledglings
