Eph-80-81 - Lesson 35 Pt-1-Ephesians 5: 22-28
Well, I'd like for you to take your Bibles, tonight and go to Ephesians chapter five. Thank you. Tonight, as we begin in Ephesians 5:22, I'd like to say again to the Corps what I've said many, many times. It's just an unbelievable privilege to work the Word and to share the great accuracy of it with our people. The greatness of the Word, I constantly stand in utter amazement of. And I was telling them in the room over here before I came in tonight that every Corps night is like the NCAA finals for me. I am keyed. I am ready to go hours before it ever happens. I'm not nervous, but I'm excitingly excited about the greatness of the product, the Word of God, that we have to share with our people. And tonight, I think the greatness of this revelation from Ephesians, which is the apex... Ephesians is the apex of all of the revelation that God ever gave to the Church. It takes us back almost to the original creation when God formed, made, and created man. And then He formed, and made, and created in Eve that which made her the most fantastic woman it was possible to be. And He brought Eve unto man. And I see it again tonight as the primary will of God. And we have just gone through in Ephesians chapter five, that there is only one God. Everything else is terrible. And this is why I believe this section in Ephesians tonight will set what all of us who love God and love His Word know to be the truth. Even though we do not see it time and time again in the hearts and lives of people, it is still the primary will of God and this is the way the Church of the Body as well as the believers in the Church of the Body should operate. Verse 22 of Ephesians five in the King James reads: Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the lord. In order to set this for you, I would like to go back to some of the expanded translations that we gave you of Ephesians five. Just picking up a few and setting them for you. Become therefore, imitators of God.. .imitators of God. ' Imi

reflections. But, that's not earth shaking right now in my heart. You see, in some Eastern culture, it was not considered a sin or a shame to steal because that's the way they lived, the only way they lived. Somebody told me... or not only told me, one of our people, but it was in a national magazine, that the basic culture of Russia today is to steal. And in some respects I can understand this. If you don't have anything and you're starving to death and there' s a loaf of bread you can get a hold of... steal the dam thing. I understand that. So this verse is really sharp, really sharp. Let him who stole, even though that man previously considered it the way to live and there was no shame in it, no sin in it. He said, Well, let that fellow who stole, steal no more. Something has happened on the inside of that man. Something that happened, where He is able to meet all of our need accordin
